The First Time
All the great stories have to begin somewhere, and our first adventure together started in May 2016. After we’ve only met in person once over a year ago we both wanted to go to the private listening session in Berlin and decided we should go together.
We had no idea if it would work out, since we barely knew each other but it was only 24 hours what could go wrong…
Well basically nothing went wrong, we got on the first flight to Berlin in the morning and checked into our hotel and explored the city for a bit before we had to get ready for the event. Getting tickets few weeks prior for the Billy event was an absolute nightmare, the website didn’t work all day and it took us 12+ hours before we got through and secured 2 tickets. After getting our outfits, hair & make-up ready we got into a cab to the event location, which is a perfect way to see a bit more of the city, since it was Jess her first time in Berlin. We got into the venue and got handed free cocktails, perfect start.
The event was fast, but so much fun to be there, meet new people, listen to Bill’s solo EP. Couldn’t hear a thing during the Q&A but what’s new. But we also got to snap a picture with Bill and get an autograph. Not much later we all had to leave the building and that was that, we had a few more drinks in the city went back to the hotel and called it a day.
The next morning we flew back to the Netherlands and that was the end of our first trip. We had the best time and our real life connection was even better then we expected and the tourlife buddies were born.
